Description

The leaves of Horehound are prepared as a tea stimulate appetite and may act as a mild sedative. Lozenges or syrup based on Horehound are a remedy for bronchial coughs. Ingestion may produce perspiration. A flavouring for beer. Horehound is a native of Europe and is adaptable to most soils and positions. Small white flowers occurring in tight whorls in late spring and summer. Drought and frost resistant. A perennial plant, growing to 0.3m x 0.6 m.
