DescriptionEpilobium is extensively used in Europe to treat benign swelling of the prostate. The leaves are eaten raw in salads or used as an infusion to help maintain normal kidney function and to aid male urological conditions. Also a remedy for bed wetting. Epilobium is native to temperate Europe, Asia and North America and prefers a moist well drained soil in a protected sunny position. Delicate pink flowers on a tall spike. Frost hardy but drought tender. A perennial edging plant, growing to 0.4m x 0.4m.
