DescriptionTansy is a very handsome plant. Deters insects, particularly flies. The dried leaves are placed in sachets in cupboards to repel moths, silverfish etc. Also used as a garden spray or as a garden mulch. A traditional strewing herb, the flowers are also used in biscuits. Flowers yield a yellow dye. A companion plant. Tansy is a native of Europe and is adaptable to most soils in an open, sunny position. Small yellow button shaped flowers in summer. Frost resistant but drought tender. A perennial plant, growing to 1m x 1.5m.
