DescriptionGarden Thyme is also known as Thyme and English Broadleaf Thyme. A great container plant and ideal for rockeries. A traditional spice used to flavour meat and savoury dishes. Thyme is the national herbal beverage of France. A flavoursome drink which is also as a remedy for throat infections and coughs. An effective ingredient in cough mixtures. All species of thyme are good companion plants. Garden Thyme is a native of the Mediterranean region and is adaptable to most soils and positions. Flowers are purple, appearing in spring and summer. Drought and frost resistant. A perennial plant, growing to 0.2m x 0.3m.
