Vanilla Grass is sometimes known as Sweet Vernal. A tufting grass with a sweet vanilla aroma, similar to woodruff. Leaves make pleasant tea and is a traditional strewing herb in Europe. Used in flores graminis for the temporary relief of rheumatic pain. Aromatic leaf blades used in pot pourri, sachets and bath bags. Vanilla Grass is a native of Europe and Asia, preferring light, well drained soils in an open, sunny position. Drought and frost resistant. A perennial, tufting grass, growing to 0.6m.
