DescriptionLesser Celandine produces beautiful cup-shaped yellow flowers in winter, dormant over summer. Traditional use of young leaves in salad as bitter. Not related to Greater Celandine, a member of the Poppy family. Lesser Celandine is native to Europe, Asia and North Africa and prefers moist, well-composted soils in a protected shaded position. Drought and frost sensitive. Perennial plant that growing 0.3m x 0.3m.
