Perfume Acacia, Acacia farnesiana or Acacia smallii, is a Nitrogen fixing legume with fluffy yellow flowers. These fragrant flowers are used in perfumery and pot pourri. An important source of perfume in France. Bark and roots are used as remedies for diarrhea and skin disorders. Seed pods are used as fodder for sheep. Perfume Acacia is indigenous to Australia, Asia and Africa. Adaptable to most soils and conditions. Flowers in spring. Drought and frost resistant. Evergreen tree, growing to 3m x 2m. Perfume Acaia is also known as Cassie.smallii
