Product Description

Wild Indigo is sometimes known as Yellow Broom. Roots are a traditional source of blue dye. The roots of Wild Indigo have also been used as an antiseptic for cuts and wounds as well as a remedy for typhus and scarlet fever. Wild Indigo is a native to North America and prefers light to medium, well-drained soils in an open, sunny position. Produces clusters of pea- like yellow flowers in spring and summer. Attractive blue-black seed pods. Frost resistant but drought tender. A perennial plant, growing to 1m x 1m.
