Description
Dried root of Bai Zhi, Angelica dahurica, is used in TCM both externally and internally to treat headaches and infected wounds. Has a modern use treating obesity related to diabetics. Action is antipyretic, analgesic and antibacterial. Cultivation; Native to China. Prefers moist fertile soils in a protected and sunny position. Drought tender but frost resistant. A perennial plant, growing to 2m. Umbels of small white flowers in summer.
