Description
Borage, Borago officinalis, is also known as Bugloss. Traditionally used in Europe as a pot herb. Leaves and flowers used in salads, stews, drinks and teas. Ancient European folk use the tea to drive away sadness and melancholy. The attractive blue flowers a favourite of bees. A companion plant to strawberries. Borage is a native of the Mediterranean and is adaptable to most soils and conditions. Drought and frost resistant. A very hardy plant. An annual plant growing to 1m x 1m. Sow spring and autumn.
