Bupleurum, Bupleurum falcatum, is also known as Chai-hu and Hair’s Ear. A bitter chinese tonic herb. Moderates emotional instability associated with sluggish liver. Supports the liver and circulatory system. Bupleurum is native to Asia and Europe, prefering well drained soils in an open sunny position. Frost and drought resistant. A perennial plant, growing to 0.9m x 0.4m. Clusters of tiny yellow flowers in summer and autumn.
