Lions Tail, Leonotis leonurus, is sometimes known as Wilde Dagga, Lions Tail has highly decorative and large orange flowers occurring on long spikes. A tea made from the dried leaves is used as a remedy for high bloods pressure, headaches and colds. A smokable euphoric. “Dagga” is the name given to marijuana in southern Africa, hence the name “Wilde Dagga”. Lions Tail is a native fo South Africa and prefers light to medium, well drained soils in an open, sunny position. Drought and frost tender. An evergreen shrub, growing to 1.5m x 1m.
