Greek Oregano, Origanum heracleoticum, is the strongest tasting oregano cultivar. Dried leaf and flower bract are aromatic and spicy, prized for use in pizza and other foods where strong and distinct oregano flavour is required. Also employed medicinally for its antifungal, antioxidant and disinfectant properties. Greek Oregano is native to Greece and prefers free draining soils in an open sunny position. Frost resistant but drought tender. A herbaceous perennial plant growing to 0.5m x 0.4m.
