Description
Rosella plant, Hibiscus sabdariffa, is also known as Roselle, Jamaica Sorrel and Karkadé. A tall, bushy shrub with flowers and fruit used to give colour and flavour to jams, fruit punches, sauces and desserts. A tea of the leaves is traditionally used to, maintain proper kidney functioning, clearing up mucus and opening a blocked nose. Rosella plant is native to northern parts of Africa. Prefers light textured, free draining soils in an open sunny position. Drought and frost tender. Fast growing annual, achieving 1.4m x 1.0m. Attractive and ornamental red foliage.
