Description
Sea Grape plant, Coccoloba uvifera, is an ideal coastal planting – the large leaves are salt resistant. Catkins of small white flowers produce bunches of grape like fruit in summer. These pink fruit are edible, perhaps a bit salty to taste, and make a tasting and refreshing summer cordial. An evergreen small tree grows to 3m, making is eminently suitableĀ for urban settings. Prefers well drained soil and full sun to part shade.
