Orders – General
Freight for your whole order is calculated at the checkout. Pricing is in Australian dollars.
No plants, seed or other product is dispatched internationally.
No plants to Western Australia or Tasmania. Other items may be sent to these states.
Orders – Dispatch
Confirmed orders received by midnight Thursday are dispatched the following week – we will contact you if there is to be a delay.
Plants are always dispatched early in the week, Monday or Tuesday. Dispatch advised by automated email.
Orders – Delivery
Transit time of orders will depend on delivery address. Most addresses can be serviced by Australia Post within 1-6 working days. Processing and dispatch may take up to 7 days, depending on the day of ordering (see above).
Delivery of orders should be achieved in 4 – 14 days of order payment.
Plant Orders
Plants are dispatched early in the week following confirmation (payment) of order. Shipping for plants is by Ordinary Post. Non plant part of orders are sent separately also by Ordinary Post. All orders can be tracked manually. No tracking number is provided at dispatch.
Plants are usually sent in their pots. Some species may be sent as dormant roots or bare rooted. This will be specified, otherwise plants will be sent in pots. Pots are individually wrapped and secured inside shipping cartons.
Freight charges are calculated by Australia Post at the Checkout. Boxes used in shipping are based on a 100mm square. The best value for your shipping dollar is had by ordering in lots of 4 x 50mm pots to make a 100mm square and the weight of this square is usually 450gm. Price changes in postage occur at 500gm, 1kg, 3kg and 5kg. Shipping calculated at the checkout.
Seed Orders
Domestic seed (only) orders are forwarded by Ordinary Post. Freight and handling fee starts at $6.60 / order which applies for 1-6 seed packets.
International seed orders have been suspended due to a change in the Australia Post requirements.
Interstate orders; it is up to the receiver to determine which seed are declared weed or environmental weeds in their particular state. No responsibility in this regard rests with All Rare Herbs. Fresh (undried) seed is sent is at the receivers risk. No refunds or credits.
Other Products – Domestic
Shipping of larger books and other product starts at $14.50, except particular publications, which have post and handling included.
Shipping by Ordinary Post and calculated at the checkout.
No plants, books or seed are shipped internationally.
Christmas / New Year
Last orders before Christmas are dispatched the 2nd week of December.
This year plant orders need to be received and completed by Friday, 6/12/24, for shipping, dispatched 9/12/24.
Pre-Christmas seed and book orders also close Friday, 9/12/24, for shipping 9/12/24
Orders will still be accepted after 6/12/24, with shipping delayed until the new year.
Our office closes Friday, 20/12/24 and re-opens Monday, 13/01/25.
Mid Year Closure
Nursery is usually closed the last week of July and the first week of August.
