Description
Blue Indigo plant, Baptisia australis, is also known as False Indigo. A strong medicinal species, with the root being used interchangeably with Wild Indigo, Baptista tinctoria. Blue Indigo plant is native to southern and central north America. An herbaceous perennial with a bushy habit. Masses of erect pea like blossoms, blue in colour. Grows to 1.2m x 0.6m.
