Calamintha plant, Calamintha sylvatica, is also known as Calamint. A lesser known plant of northern Italian cuisine. Highly aromatic – antiseptic, diaphoretic and expectorant. Pretty light blue flowers, miniature rounded leaves and a spreading habit. Calamintha plant is native to the Mediterranean and is full cold hardy.
