Greek Mountain Tea plant, Sideritis syriaca, is sometimes called Ironwort. A tea of the leaves is traditionally consumed in Greece to treat colds. It may have anti-inflammatory properties. Research is currently being conducted into possible anti-arthritic and anti- microbial properties. Greek Mountain Tea plant is native to the mountainous regions of the Mediterranean and prefers light to medium soils in an open sunny position. Spikes of yellowish flowers in summer. Drought and frost resistant. A perennial herb growing to 0.6m x 0.6m.
