Description

The roots and rhizomes of Kava plant (Piper methysticum) are the basis of the Polynesian beverage, Kava Kava, a euphoric. Modern folk use of Kava roots in Europe and America is as a a remedy for anxiety, depression. insomnia and migraines. It may also help end caffeine and nicotine addition. Kava plant is native to Polynesia and prefers rich, moist, well composted soils in a shaded position. Drought and frost tender. An evergreen shrub, growing to 2m x 2m.
