Description
Lily-of-the-Valley plant, Convallaria majalis, is traditionally used in the treatment of heart disease. An ornamental plant, whose flowers are also used in the manufacturing of perfume. Note: All parts of this plant are poisonous if taken internally. Native of Europe, Lily-of-the-Valley plant prefers light to medium, well drained soils in a protected, shaded position. Produces racemes of scented, hanging bell shaped white flowers in spring. Drought and frost resistant. A perennial plant, growing to 0.5m x 0.5m.
