Rice Paddy Herb plant, Limnophila aromatica, is also known as Rau Ohm. A culinary herb from Vietnam. Flavour profile is similar to cumin with background notes of citrus. Best known use is in Vietnamese Sour Fish Soup. Widely used fresh in soups and curries and as an attractive and refreshing garnish. Cultivation is straight forward. Protect from frost, partial shade and moist soil. Rice Paddy Herb plant is a happily spreading, evergreen plant that can be cultivated in shallow water, such as the edges of ponds where water is no more than a couple of centimetres deep.
