Spanish Thyme, Thymus mastichina, is also known as Mastic Thyme, Spanish Wood Marjoram and White Thyme. Powerfully camphoraceous. Healing tea. Used as a culinary herb in Spain and to cure olives. Prized for its essential oil and utilised in aromatherapy. Native to the mountainous regions of the Iberian Peninsula. An evergreen shrub that grows to 30-40cm x 60cm. Prefers well drained soil in full sunshine and is adaptable to dry or wet soils. Puffball like flowers are white and produced in summer.
