Wasabi plant, Wasabia japonica, is sometimes known as Japanese Horseradish. The roots are traditional spice in Japan used in the manner of horseradish. Used with raw fish dishes such as sashimi or sushi. The roots are a greenish colour on the inside. Wasabi plant is native to Japan and eastern Asia. A semi-aquatic, Wasabi may be grown as a terrestrial. preferring moist well-drained soils in a shaded position. Frost resistant but drought tender. A perennial plant growing to 0.3m x 0.3m
