Yellow Dock plant, Rumex crispus, is sometimes known as Curled Dock. When Yellow Dock is used as a vegetable the water must be changed once to remove oxalic acid. The seeds are very high in Vitamin C and are a useful folk remedy for scurry. Folk use of the roots as a remedy for anemia, slipped disk and constipation. Roots are a good source of iron.
